We’re the Johnson, McCharen, and Kiesel families: complete with a whole crew of kiddos. In addition to being owners of Green Acres, we are artists, musicians, dreamers, writers, and entrepreneurs who understand the desire and need for a true getaway. We’re proud to offer you the opportunity to slow down in an unforgettable environment with comfortable glamping amenities. Our families have poured creativity and passion into this peaceful property to inspire rest, renewal, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Green Acres is a place for life, and we believe marriage, family, and friendship are things that bring life.
Just 24 short miles east of Austin, Texas, our eco-lodging connects guests with nature without the stress of traditional camping. Each unit on our property has access to a private fire pit (perfect for cocktails, storytelling, and conversation), modern bathhouses with flushing toilets, and a communal Vintage Barn (formerly owned by the LBJ family) which houses the kitchen and dining areas. You’ll also enjoy our walking trails in the woods, picnic tables, outdoor games, outdoor sound system, cards/games, horseshoes, hammocks, binoculars for bird watching, and a couple of super cute donkeys who roam our field of wildflowers.
